Q - What does each entree cost? A - Each meal is individually priced according to the ingredients. A DinnerSmith meal will cost an average of between $22 - $27, and most meals are 6 servings, so per serving that's an average of around $$4.00,a price few can compete with. Q - Can I really prepare 12 family meals in only one approximately two hour session? A - Yes, wespend extensive time working on recipes, ingredients and easy to follow instructions to make this the most efficient meal preparation process . We do all the shopping, prepare all of the ingredients for you, arrange them conveniently with all the utensils you need, and given clear, easy to follow instructions. Also, the cooking is done at your own home, giving you freshly cooked meals rather than reheated ones. Q - Our family really likes eight of the meals on the menu, can we double up on the ones we like? A - Yes,when you book your session, you can order whatever quantity of each meal. Q - A meal that feeds four to six adults is just too much food for my circumstances, is there any way to reduce the quantities? A - Absolutely. Most of our meals can be split and prepared as two smaller meals instead of one large meal. We will provide smaller containers to make cooking these smaller meals more workable. Q - Are the meals 'kid friendly'? A - Some of our meals are specifically aimed at kids. All meals have been tested on a large group of our own families and friends. Our menu is designed for the sophisticated taetes of the New York metropolitan area and for families who live here. Our goal is to make dinner easy, healthy, interesting and delicious. You are preparing the meal: you have the ability to leave out any ingredients that any family member does not like. Q - Do I have to prepare 12 meals, and do the meal prices vary if I make more than twelve? A – We encourage our customers to order twelve meals as that is the maximum discount available. Please fell free to order what fits your family, even if you are only trying us for one meal. The business is able to offer excellent value due to the discounts available to us for bulk buying, and our pricing is designed to pass bulk buying savings on to our customers. Q - Can I bring someone to help me make the meals? A - Yes, you can. Let us know if you are bringing your child, so we can be prepared. We welcome families working together. Children under five are difficult to accomodaate because of the height of our stools and the height of the work stations. Q - What will I need to bring? A - A little time and a cooler. Everything else is provided by us and is included in the cost of the meals.Q - I don't have a cooler, can I still use DinnerSmith? A - Yes, if you only have a short trip home, your meals will be as safe as your regular groceries, but you should get them home and into the freezer as soon as possible. We have boxes and bags and Q - I don't have time to assemble my own meals, can you do it for me? A - Yes, we'll assemble your meals for you (according to our original recipes). Pick a session and place your order. In the comments section, let us know about any special requirements and tell us when you will be picking up your dinners. There are no additional fees for this service. Q - I don't need a batch of meals, I just need one or two. What can you do for me? A – Please call us if you want to stop by and get one fresh meal. We know that sometimes a customer is overwhelmed and cannot plan ahead. Additionally, we have a selection of 'grab n go' meals available from our freezer. These are already assembled per our original recipes for you to thaw and cook at home. Q - Do you deliver? A – Yes, we deliver. Maplewood and South Orange are the free delivery zone. We have gone as far as Westchester County and Long Island. Mondays are the delivery day to Madison/Chatham and Montclair. Manhatten delivery is available weekly as well. A – DinnerSmith follows the highest standards of food safety in every aspect of the business. Risks are minimized on every front, including the design of our premises, our equipment and supplier selections, food storage, preparation and handling procedures, and customer education. We work closely with the Town of Maplewood Health Dept. and adhere closely to Town regulations. We are, as all food establishments, inspected regularly. Q - Our family has food allergies, can we still use DinnerSmith? A – Yes,we are a peanut-free facility. If you have concerns, call or email us. We have worked with gluten free and nut free diets. Some of us have food alleregies and have grown up with these issues. Let us know and we can help you work around certain allergies. For instance, our Baked French Toast is perfect when prepared with soy milk. |
